The Ökoregion Kaindorf, founded in April 2007, is located in the district of Hartberg and is an association of committed citizens of the municipalities of Dienersdorf, Ebersdorf, Großhart, Hartl, Hofkirchen, Kaindorf and Tiefenbach. Together with the seven communities they want to follow an ecological and sustainable path. The ecoregion Kaindorf wants to become in as short a time as possible a model region, which operates an ecological circular economy and supplies itself as far as possible with renewable energy. In further consequence the region wants to go e.g. by humus development and other CO2-binding measures in the direction of CO2 neutrality.
