The Hydrogen Austria platform bundles technological and economic competencies of companies, research institutions and platforms around hydrogen technology throughout Austria.
There is no way around hydrogen. Neither in the energy transition, climate protection or sustainability, nor when it comes to innovation, economic growth, competitiveness and jobs.
The European hydrogen strategy focuses on the use of hydrogen in all sectors. The focus is on so-called green hydrogen, which is produced with the help of renewable energies.
Numerous private and public institutions in Austria are successfully engaged in research and development as well as production and application of hydrogen technology. On the initiative of the Federal Ministry for Digitalization and Economic Location (BMDW) and the province of Tyrol, they are pooling their strengths in Hydrogen Austria, the Austrian hydrogen cluster. In this way, they enrich each other, strengthen their competencies and increase their national and international visibility.
