Conventional PV systems have one main problem: their performance is still determined by the weakest cell. Therefore, snow, sand or shade can reduce the performance. Not so with the Power MAXIM Plus solar module: In a direct comparison it achieves + 8-10% more output compared to standard modules. Three MAXIM optimizers per module replace the conventional bypass diodes. In this way the MAXIM system bypasses the shaded string and the module does not have a negative effect on the rest of the serial connection.
