The Oxy3 can be used for numerous applications where odour removal and decontamination of harmful substances are required. It is ideal for improving hygiene in vehicles and for decontaminating textiles and objects contaminated with harmful substances for emergency services such as firefighters. A sophisticated combined process of water vapor and ozone is decisive for the success of the treatment. Due to its chemical instability in ambient conditions, ozone (O3) disintegrates to form molecular oxygen (O2), a main element found in the air that we breathe. This means that the Oxy3 produces the amount of ozone required for treatment on the spot. At the end of the treatment, it makes sure that the remaining ozone is re-neutralized (O3 to O2). This means that the vehicle can be put back to use immediately after the treatment. In combination with ozone, the water vapor used produces active oxygen and moistens the surfaces with condensate. The moisture and the active oxygen ensure that any other organic odorants bound to the surfaces (i.e. cushions) are broken down and that pollutants (such as carcinogenic PAHs) are effectively destroyed. The depth of penetration into the surfaces depends on the type and the texture of the surface.
