We Build with Purpose. We Research with Vision. We Create Futures Worth Living.

O.K. Energie Haus GmbH stands for climate-resilient, carbon-storing timber frame buildings – sustainable, regional, and future-oriented. Our service portfolio covers the entire value chain: from architectural design and prefabrication to turnkey delivery – whether for single-family homes, medical practices, office buildings, or schools. Our construction method combines regional materials (especially timber, cellulose, and wood fiber), klimaaktiv-certified insulation standards, and a healthy indoor climate. Prefabrication takes place in our own production facility in Großpetersdorf, which operates energy-autonomously thanks to a 170 kWp photovoltaic system. Our buildings sequester around 9,000 tons of CO₂ per year, with a total of over 32,900 tons already stored. With more than 560 completed buildings and a tree-planting campaign of 30,000 trees, we create impact that goes far beyond the structure itself. We rely on digital design (Archicad/BIM), state-of-the-art CNC production (Weinmann & Hundegger), and regional circular economies. Our cellulose insulation made from recycled newspaper reduces primary energy demand, is allergy-friendly, sound-absorbing, and fully reversible at the end of life. Research & Innovation: O.K. Energie Haus is an active partner in several cutting-edge research initiatives: THINK.WOOD (FH Joanneum, TU Vienna, BOKU): Optimization of climate-resilient construction processes and circular timber building systems Sys.Wood: Development of planning strategies based on the 3R principle (Repair – ReUse – Recycle) Cool-down Güssing: Climate-friendly cooling solutions for commercial buildings within the “Smart Cities Demo” framework Ongoing collaborations with universities and clusters focused on emission-free and circular construction materials
O.K. Energie Haus GmbH combines innovation, craftsmanship and ecological responsibility into a holistic approach to sustainable construction. As a regional flagship company based in Großpetersdorf in Southern Burgenland, we stand for climate-active timber frame buildings that meet the highest ecological standards – from planning and production to turnkey delivery. Our houses are more than buildings – they are carbon sinks, healthy living environments, and future-proof investments. Each of our projects blends architectural quality with climate-smart materials and digital precision. This is made possible by our team of 50 experts, a network of over 200 regional craft partners, and cutting-edge CNC manufacturing (Weinmann & Hundegger) in our own production hall. This facility is energy self-sufficient, powered by a 170 kWp photovoltaic system, ensuring short lead times, outstanding execution quality, and maximum resource efficiency. Our core strengths: Sustainable timber frame construction: single-family homes, medical practices, office and school buildings CO₂-optimized building: over 32,900 tons of CO₂ stored through timber construction Serial climate protection: approx. 40 projects annually, binding another 9,000 tons of CO₂ each year Material concept: regional timber, cellulose insulation from recycled paper, wood fiber, wood-based vapor barriers Healthy living: moisture-regulating, allergy-friendly, and biologically safe materials Circular economy: full disassembly potential, carbon storage, minimal primary energy demand Beyond construction, we take ecological responsibility a step further: with our own tree-planting initiative, we’ve planted 30,000 trees in the region – enhancing biodiversity, binding CO₂ and strengthening the local climate. We see ourselves as an active part of the ecological transformation of the construction industry – and are heavily invested in applied research & innovation. Selected research collaborations: THINK.WOOD (FH Joanneum, TU Vienna, BOKU): digitization and circularity in timber construction Sys.Wood: development of resource-saving, reusable timber design models Cool-down Güssing: climate-friendly cooling concepts for commercial and administrative buildings Ongoing cooperation with universities, clusters and innovation networks in the field of zero-emission, circular construction systems We don’t just build houses – we provide answers to the challenges of our time. Each O.K. Energie Haus is a building block for a better future: ecologically designed, regionally rooted, and technically outstanding.
