As Austrias center of excellence for big data, artificial intelligence and data-driven business models, the Know-Center has conducted applied research with more than 130 data scientists since it was founded in Graz in 2000. This provides Styrian companies with exceptional research services in the areas of data management, data security, knowledge discovery, knowledge visualization, social computing and data-driven business at the location. The Know-Center also has an extensive international network, cooperates with over 100 universities and research centers and leads numerous European initiatives, including the European Network of National Big Data Centers, which includes 58 data centers across Europe.
