The COMET K1 research centre Pro²Future (Products and Production Systems of the Future) with headquarters at the JKU Linz and additional location at the TU Graz is dedicated to researching cognitive products and production systems in the field of industrial information and communication technologies. In close cooperation with our scientific partners (JKU Linz, TU Graz, TU Munich, DFKI, University of Graz, etc.) and over 40 corporate partners, we conduct research beyond Industry 4.0 using Artificial Intelligence on current economic and scientific cross-cutting topics such as Pervasive AI, Causality, Explainable AI, Edge Analytics, Engineering for Distributed AI, Analytical User Guidance, Failsafe & Robust AI and AI for Sustainable Production. Our areas are centered around the following topics: Perception and Aware Systems, Cognitive Robotics and Shopfloors, Cognitive Decision Making, Cognitive Products, Cognitive Production Systems.
