Diamonds for clear water – because every drop counts! pro aqua Diamantelektroden Produktion GmbH wants to set worldwide standards in the production and application of diamond electrodes to set new environmental and safety standards in water usage but also to contribute in the field of sustainable water treatment. pro aqua was founded in 2002 as a spin-off at the University of Leoben (Austria) with the objective "industrial production of boron doped diamond electrodes". After seven years of development, 2009 was the introduction of the final product to the market. In the following years, technologies, products and solution systems, based on the key component – the patented diamond electrode – were developed. To meet the demands and challenges for supplying clean and disinfected water, pro aqua attaches great value in the optimization in existing but also in the research and development in new products and its fields of applications: Besides supplying clean water for drinking and swimming as well as the deployment of quality-assured liquids for applications like cleaning and disinfecting surfaces, pro aqua’s products play furthermore a major role in a variety of different fields, for example in the medical, food or agricultural sector but even in fishkeeping. Based on the principle of water electrolysis and the motto “chemistry without chemicals”, over the years, pro aqua set various milestones in the areas of sustainability as well as user and environmental safety.
