The zero-dimensional analysis and simulation of the high-pressure part is based on one- and two-zone models. Various wall heat transfer models as well as different fuels (gasoline, diesel, natural gas, H2, etc.) and fuel combinations (dual-fuel) are taken into account. Combustion simulation is possible for a variety of modern combustion processes (open chamber, prechamber, DI, etc.). Nitrogen oxide emissions can be simulated as well as engine knock.
LEC CORA (Combustion Optimization, Research and Analysis) is a highly flexible innovative
software package for the analysis and simulation of the working process of combustion engines. The modular structure and the highly flexible input and output of LEC CORA allow fully automatic control by other programs for a wide range of applications. The optimized program code and the use of zero-dimensional analysis and simulation approaches ensure very short computing times.
