Styria – The green heart of Austria“. Does this slogan sound familiar to you? It is eched in every Austrians memory and continues to spread around the world. There is no quest6ion that Styria stand for top-quality. But Austria´s second largest province has more to ofer than lush green vineyards. So much more! This is the region from which innovative technologies conquer the world. Is epicenter is the Green Tech Valley where top-companies of the ECO WORLD STYRIA cluster are located.

GREEN POWER
Silicon Valley in the US state of California is known as the heart of the IT and high-tech industry. Its equivalent for envionmental technologies with its vibrant innovative drive is located in Styria. In an hour´s drive one finds approximately 200 companies here – and therefore the highest denisty of leading green-tech companies in the world. Green innovations have been growing here for over 100 years. It all started with the invention of the hydroelectric turbine by Styrian Viktor Kaplan in 1912. Today the range includes the cleanest wood gaifier as well as efficient  material flow management. „The earliest pioneers, Europe´s  second highest research quota as well as industrial competence led to the development of this globally top-ranking „Green Tech Valley“ – with more technology leaders in one confined place than anywhere else“, says Bernhard Puttinger, CEO of ECO WORLD STYRIA.
