The photovoltaic panels have been integrated in the roof of the 44.6 metre long yacht, directly under the main sail. This ensures noiseless operation of the yacht\u2019s electronics. The biggest challenge at sea is shade, notes SOLBIAN managing director Michael K\u00f6rner. The solar panels are connected in series. And the weakest link in that chain determines how much electricity can be generated. For this reason, the company has developed a technology that can always be used to bridge those panels currently in the shade. The luxury sailing yacht has already successfully completed its Styrian-powered maiden voyage: at the Monaco Yacht
