A large-scale epoxy resin plant with an investment volume of approximately 140 million euros is being built on the grounds of the Turkish chemical company Akkim Kimya. The plant covers about 50,000 square meters and is expected to produce 50,000 tons of epoxy resin annually.<\/p>\n

The Graz-based company Kanzler Verfahrenstechnik (KVT) is playing a key role in the project, supplying the complete \u201cProcess Design Package,\u201d according to the Kleiner Zeitung. This package forms the technological foundation of the plant and includes, among other things, process concepts, safety solutions, and the design of all central equipment and process steps. The contract value for KVT amounts to approximately 24 million euros.<\/p>\n

The entire process chain\u2014from glycerin distillation and the production of epichlorohydrin to the final epoxy resin production\u2014is being developed based on Styrian expertise. KVT Managing Director Florian Kanzler emphasized to the Kleine Zeitung that the company\u2019s strength lies in the holistic management of complex processes.<\/p>\n

KVT employs 220 people and generates around 95 percent of its annual revenue\u2014which exceeds 50 million euros\u2014abroad, primarily in Asia. There, demand for efficient, low-emission plants is growing significantly faster than in Europe, as founder Walter Kanzler explains. At the same time, the company continues to invest in its Styrian locations, which, according to Kanzler, form the \u201cbackbone\u201d of the company.<\/p>\n
