As part of the \u201cCall for Innovations\u201d, Austrian companies, start-ups, universities, research institutions and other organizations were able to apply. Minister of Economic Affairs Martin Kocher is delighted with the increasing innovative strength of the Austrian economy: \u201cAustria is a country of ideas and a center of innovation that actively shapes progress, both in Europe and in the world. Proof of this is Austria&#8217;s 6th place in the EU innovation ranking, a top position in patent applications and a research rate of 3.34 percent. Whether in the field of green tech and green building, semiconductor research, mobility solutions or artificial intelligence &#8211; Austria&#8217;s companies, start-ups and research institutions create solutions for global challenges and consistently pursue the goal of being competitive on the global market with their innovative strength.
