Another step in the field of digitisation has been taken in the recycling industry to be able to offer customers the best possible transparency for their machines and systems. REDWAVE mate was developed to offer customers the best possible transparency of their machines and plants. The possibility to access or monitor and communicate with your systems and machines is given anytime, anywhere.
With REDWAVE mate, we have created artificially intelligent support that also helps you with operating a sorting plant or individual sorting machines as efficiently and profitably as possible.
How does REDWAVE mate support the system?
– Optimisation of the plant and sorting operations
– Sorting rates and final quality are improved and optimised with REDWAVE mate
– Increase in system availability and sorting efficiency
– Cross-platform monitoring of the material flows in the plant
– Individual data from the machines is compared, and recommendations for parameterisation are given
– Data for plant personnel. e.g. operations managers, is always available immediately
– Availability on all common mobile devices
– Data can be exported and further processed

The REDWAVE 2i technology is based on machine learning and artificial intelligence. Different types of sensors are linked with this cutting-edge technology.
REDWAVE sensor-based sorters are powerful sorting machines for the recycling and waste industry. The materials are scanned, and a signal is sent to the ejection units. High speed valves powered by compressed air eject the identified material. The number of activated valves per detected object depends on the size of the particle that is to be separated.
Sorting of:
– Household waste
– RDF
– Plastics
– Paper
– Glass, for plastic elimination
– Construction waste and demolition waste
– E-waste
– Metals from plastics
The intelligent detection and sorting technology
Up to now dark and thick glass pieces could not be distinguished from CSP due to low transmission value and were ejected along with the CSP reject stream. The sorting of dark glass will significantly reduce the amount of glass loss and increase the productivity rate of the plant.
High quality dark glass can now be recognised in a better way. Productivity and yield increase.
Less glass loss in the CSP rejects stream (ceramics, stones, porcelain) – waste flows are reduced, and disposal costs are decreased.
REDWAVE is the industry leader in automated XRF (X-ray Fluorescence- compare it with a portable XRF-Analyzer/Handheld) optical sort technology, the most advanced commercially available nonferrous sortation equipment. A REDWAVE XRF/C unit has the advantage of being able to identify and sort not only heavy metals from aluminum or stainless steel in shredder streams but also sort the individual heavy metals (copper, brass, stainless, zinc etc.), PCB (printed circuit boards) and different grades of aluminum and stainless steel based on alloy composition. Furthermore, the technology can be used to process meatballs (shredded motor scrap) removing any residual copper impurities or to sort nonferrous residue from IBA (incinerated bottom ash) including precious metals such as gold and silver. Our innovative free-fall configuration allows for sorting a greater mix of metals with fewer processing steps while still producing a very high level of sorted purity. Many recyclers have opted for a REDWAVE XRF/C and according to their feedback the pure fractions recovered, and increased revenue can result in an attractive payback period window.
