STARFLEX-ENERGY modules consist of laminated glass, curved in two or three dimensions, in which photovoltaic cells are laminated. In the laminated glass manufacturing process, cells and foil are placed between the individual glass sheets for lamination and then, following a pre-bonding stage, they are pressed together in an autoclave under heat and pressure. In the event of the glass being broken, the glass splinters adhere to the film. As a result STARLFEX-ENERGY offers safety features for personal protection, such as for overhead glazing.
Standard polycrystalline 6 inch cells are laminated in EVA film. The power connection is on the edge of the module.
Special shapes must be checked in individual cases.
