The technology concentrates on decentralised compact systems and processes for generating electrical and thermal energy from dried wood chips. Dried wood chips are converted via a thermo-chemical combustion processes with three phases (pyrolysis, oxidation, reduction) into fuel gas. The fuel gas is almost pure in consistency and therefore avoids tar. The process converts dried woodchips into electricity and heat, commonly in the form of: electricity for public consumption and heat for district heating networks.
The ambitious plan brings together new products and new energy resources. Cutting-edge technology gives municipalities the ability to make a significant contribution to the environment and to the quality of life of their populations. This makes it possible to create a circular economy.
Christof Industries has developed the Clean City plan in the course of the last decade. The major focus has been on finding ways to complement the technical and industrial experience of more than a century with state-of-the-art know-how and technologies. A global team of 50 professionals is pursuing the goal of realizing a circular economy by employing financially and environmentally feasible waste-to-value projects in order to reach a zero waste solution.
Decades of experience in all stages of the industrial plant process have made us into specialists for complex requirements in industrial plant engineering. The goal we set ourselves is to develop for our customers the best industrial plant solutions that the market has to offer.
Our engineering expertise is characterised by the know-how gleaned from the successful implementation of more than 4,500 plant projects across the globe. Whether we are designing complete facilities or just individual elements – such as pipelines and steelworks, process technology, mechanical or electrical components – we offer our customers bespoke solutions that combine the highest possible levels of profitability with savings in time and costs.
Our employees, who are accredited in line with the highest international standards, are the guarantors of expert and reliable plant maintenance and upkeep services.
We employ forward-looking maintenance and repair strategies in all areas that are prone to excessive wear and tear, and make use of cutting-edge digital technology (Maintenance Level 4.0) to support these strategies.
Our services for green/brownfield facilities, auxiliary systems (balance of plant), pilot facilities, as well as prototype, frame and container solutions cover steelworks, pipelines, mechanical elements and machinery, instrumentation projects, as well as all Christof Industries 360° services in the sectors we cover.
Christof Industries is a partner in the development, construction and upkeep of industrial plants for industry and energy providers across the globe. Thanks to our diverse portfolio of services, we take care of every stage of the life cycle of an industrial plant.
Three important strengths form the foundation of our expertise: decades of experience in the construction of industrial plants, cutting-edge technology and continual innovation in our own research and development departments, and the forward-looking approach of our project teams and specialists, who implement industrial plants that are tailored to our customer´s exact needs – and who, by doing so, ensure that your facilities achieve the highest levels of efficiency.
Pur customer´s industrial plant project’s exact specifications shape the services that we provide – from individual elements that can be integrated into existing systems through to complete EPC(M) solutions in which we take overall responsibility for delivery. Thanks to our international network of partners (Siemens, Andritz, GE, Tecnimont, Hitachi, etc.), we are able to realise projects on any scale.
