DIY protective screen kit for Africa
6. April 2020
Due to the massive need for personal protective equipment, particularly in Africa, the company plasticpreneur has developed a self-assembly device for on-site use that can produce CE-certified protective shields from PET bottles. The kit consists of a hand shredder, a compact injection moulding machine and injection tooling. The first application is now being used at a hospital in Uganda.
Recycled protective shields made in Austria
Due to the current situation around the corona virus or COVID-19 and the associated shortage of safety equipment, the innovative startup plasticpreneur started the production of face masks from recycled plastic. The face shields produced in Austria offer secure protection thanks to an exchangeable and washable shield. By purchasing the Face Shields, you can do something good at the same time – for each copy sold, an additional one is made and donated to people in need. More details can be found in the product description, orders should be directed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
For large quantities, there is also the opportunity to purchase a production machine in order to produce face masks locally. In addition the machine can easily be modified to produce other products. If you are interested, Sören Lex will be happy to provide you with further information.
